Great service - large selection of delicious dishes - mostly Franconian cuisine

Super crispy and at the same time juicy carp with a very tasty salad, reasonable prices and large portions!

Would even give zero stars .... rarely eaten so bad ??

Today we took 4 carp to take away, they were very, very tasty and the delicious salad ? I'm already looking forward to Christmas

I have been to dinner here 4 times with our company. Good food "cozy place. We'll be back.

Very nice restaurant 'very good Franconian food. We tried almost everything and were very satisfied with everything. We always like to come back.

Despite the change of operator, you can still enjoy wonderful and authentic Franconian hospitality here

Today's visit was unfortunately very disappointing. Not only was the service very meager and without a word when asked (it wasn't busy at the beginning), the food was sometimes smaller than a child's portion but full of price. Apparently it depends when and which piece of meat you get. Roulade was 7 cm !!!! Next table was twice the size. The roast slices were also very different when looking around. We ate there 3 times with different types of meat. Whether roast, sauerbraten or today roulades, all very dry. Only the fantastic carp (pepper, baked or carp fillet) with the very good homemade potato salad raised the rating to 3 stars. Conclusion: Service is better during the week. Meat dishes extremely different sizes and dry. Highly recommended carp.

Like so many reviews, I can only confirm that the food is far from reaching the previous hostess. Sauerbraten with watery sauce, French fries were very hard (too long in the fat), unfortunately the dumplings do not come close to the "predecessor" dumplings. Far from the "old" Schützenhof ". Pity!

I visited the restaurant for the first time on Sunday. I had a mess with a salad. When I was eating, I suddenly bit something hard, so that I was afraid I had broken a tooth. I couldn't eat anymore and called the waitress and showed him the stone, which was about 8 mm in diameter. He came back and said it was hard earth that was in the salad. He offered me a Schnabs but asked for the full price. Was very disappointed.

Very nice beer garden, food rather below average. Loveless salad, badly breaded cordon bleu, dry french fries. It’s better elsewhere and, above all, cheaper.

Unfortunately not as good as before. Lokal now has a new owner. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste as good as it did before. The side salad alone under old management was brilliant, let alone the "special dumpling". Sauerbraten was now in good taste, some of the meat was a bit dry and the sauce was a little too watery. Still a very nice place with very nice staff / owners, but no longer corresponds to the guard yard that you know.

We ate very well here, didn't have to wait long for food, and it wasn't just thanks to the fun service lady that we felt completely at ease. We will be back definitely!

I had a liver dumpling soup as a starter and cheese spaetzle with the main course. The liver dumpling soup was very good. made the broth itself. I had no piece of the dumplings. The cheese noodles were, I think, not homemade. Nevertheless taste fine. The service was very friendly and very attentive.

In the past very good not recommended anymore. Liver dumplings with questionable chewy "pieces" generally eat very fade without taste .... Fried potatoes were good, although without salt ...

Very good Franconian restaurant, lovely, courteous, cheerful waitress and really good food. The giant dumplings are not only big, they also taste great! We would love to come back!

The first impression is kind of "how old is this place" but then you will be pleasantly surprise. Come and taste the "hunter" experience - this is a place where you will find mainly "meat courses" - cooked in a creative way! There are also side dishes/ starters like small salads and vegetarian dishes (really for the "small hunger") Didn't try the dessert, but I'm sure that they are A+
